Webinar Time Zone

  • All webinar times are in Eastern Time - United States. Please adjust per your personal time zone.

Technology Tips

  • If needed, download the Zoom App before the webinar. After you download, close the Zoom app, then use the webinar link and your personal access code provided by SECO to enter the webinar - see “Webinar Access Link” below. 
  • We strongly encourage you to use a laptop or desktop computer with a reliable wired or Wi-Fi connection. Mobile devices do not afford the same learning experience.
  • Attendees will enter the Zoom room with NO AUDIO and NO VIDEO. Microphone and video camera are not needed for the webinar.
  • Attendees will need to use the Live Polling, Chat, and Q&A functions during the webinar. 

Registration - REQUIRED

  • Registration is REQUIRED and FREE - we are grateful to our sponsors who help make this possible.  
  • Go to https://secouniversity.com/nao and search the webinars by date. Click on “Learn More” for the specific webinar you are interested in to view the full schedule and CE credit information. 

Webinar Login and Personal Access Code

  • Attendees must be registered before entering the webinar. 
  • At least 24 hours prior to the webinar, attendees will receive an email with a PERSONAL ZOOM ACCESS CODE. 
    • **IMPORTANT - Each attendee must log in separately using their personal Zoom access code to complete required live polling questions during the webinar for attendance tracking.** 
  • Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as the emails may come from a third-party system. 

Live Polling Questions - REQUIRED DURING THE WEBINAR FOR CREDIT 

  • **IMPORTANT - Per ABO/NCLE requirements, attendees must respond to 4 polling questions (per hour) during the webinar. The personal access code you use to log in will allow SECO to track your polling responses.
  • Attendees must respond to all polling questions (during the webinar) and complete the post-course evaluation (within 5 days after the webinar) to receive CE credit.
  • Sponsor presentations are not accredited and therefore do not have polling questions. However, we appreciate your feedback on the post-course evaluation.

Post-Course Evaluations - REQUIRED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE WEBINAR FOR CREDIT 

  • Attendees must complete the polling questions during each webinar and submit a post-course evaluation within 5 days for each course attended to receive a Verification of Attendance (VOA) certificate.
    • Enter a personal, unique email address on each evaluation. VOA certificates will be sent to the email you indicate. 
  • Links to post-course evaluations will be available on the SECO U website within 1 day following the webinar. You can find the link under the webinar event at https://secouniversity.com/nao. 
  • If you are a North Carolina (NC) or South Carolina (SC) licensed optician or hold an ABO or NCLE certification, you will have the option to enter your license number (NC / SC) or certification number (ABO/NCLE) and select “Spectacle” or “Contact Lens” (NC) within the evaluation if applicable. After selecting “YES” for the license question, a field will display in which you may enter your NC or SC license number. 

Verification of Attendance (VOA) Certificates and CE Hours Submission

  • Attendees will receive a Verification of Attendance (VOA) certificate for each session after polling questions and post-course evaluations are validated by SECO staff. VOAs will be emailed within 15-30 days to the email indicated on the evaluation.
  • SECO will submit CE hours to the following entities within 15-30 days of the webinar.
    • NC Opticians
    • SC Opticians via CE Broker
    • ABO and/or NCLE
  • AOA-Para / Other State Entities - Attendees must use the VOA copy received to self-submit CE hours. It is up to each Board to determine if and how CE hours apply.
