Narcotic Prescribing and Drug Diversion

This course will review the various aspects of prescription writing of controlled substances. An overview of commonly prescribed narcotics will be given, along with how to acquire a DEA number, prevention of diversion, and common prescribing errors. This course meets the two of three required hours of drug diversion and best practices prescribing of controlled substances for West Virginia licensees and the full two hours required for Kentucky licensees who hold a DEA license.
