Although primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) is the most common form of glaucoma, secondary and even tertiary glaucomas will present to your office, often with a more volatile and progressive nature. This lecture aims to cover the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the most common secondary glaucomas including: pseudoexfoliation, pigment dispersion, uveitic, neovascular, and steroid-response glaucoma. Glaucoma masquerades which cause high intraocular pressure (IOP) can be difficult to differentiate from true glaucoma.
